Visiting old friends (+ a semi haul)

Yesterday (Thursday) I went to visit some old friends (we’re all going back since the 6th or 7th grade)  that I haven’t seen in a while, and had a really fun evening with some drinks and nostalgia. Since all of us are living in different places now due to work and our school, it’s fun to get a chance to get together and just catch up in a way that’s way easier than just chatting online.

A couple of days ago, I reached out to you on my Twitter and asking if you would be interested in me doing a “haul”.

For those of you who doesn’t know, a haul is a post/video where one shows of a collection of (new) items, like new clothes, games or records. I have never done one of these before, and I didn’t even know this was ” a thing” until a couple of weeks ago, but I still wanted to give it a go. So here’s a test-run!
Belt buckle crown and dragon, visual kei style,

First off, here are two new belt buckles I bought at a local market about a week ago.

With market, I mean those featuring traveling salesmen, often occurring during the summers (at least in Sweden).

I’ve been on a hunt for new belts for a good while, so after seeing these buckles I couldn’t resist buying them.

That is after a bit of haggling, which I encourage more people to try!

Another new addition to my growing collection of jewelry is these two rings:

Beside accessories, I’ve finally gotten around getting some new clothes. I try to regularly scan shops in my area for cool new clothing, but I often leave empty handed. The outfit below consists of a necklace from my own brand SophistiGance, which you also can check out on Instagram and Twitter (@SophistiGance).

The sleeveless shirt is from H&M and is my most recent acquire. At the moment, they have a big sale, which is always appreciated.

The jeans is of unknown brand, which I bought at a secondhand store called “Erikshjälpen”, which is one of the biggest thrift shops in Sweden.

Extra points: it’s often cheap. Like these jeans didn’t cost me more than about 50 Swedish crowns.

To add some texture, I also wore a thin black cardigan (not sure if that’s the correct term though) which I got at H&M as well, also at a bargain prize.

For accessories beside what have already been mentioned, I wore two bracelets, both which I bought about a year ago from Tradera, which is the Swedish version of eBay.

While we’re speaking about appearance, I think it’s soon time for me to get my hair cute. Not that I want to get rid of it length-wise, but I need to thin it out a bit, maybe also do some layering, as styling it gets more and more tricky for each day. I have really thick hair, which means I should probably cut it a bit more often than what I tend to do.
Actually, beside trimming the tips, I can’t remember cutting it since before our gig at HarukaCon, and that was in 2013.

Anyhow, I hoped you’ve enjoyed my first try at doing a haul!
If you would like me to do more of these, as it was kinda fun, leave a comment!

Last off, here’s a photo I took last night. After people going back home, me and my friend Dante (who arranged the small get together at his place) went out biking at around 3 AM. We brought lanters, which must have looked quite suspect as we were both dressed in black, haha.
Our initial goal was to bike down to a local lake about 10 KM away, but as it started to rain we decided to go back.
However, I managed to snap this picture with my iPhone. For being a phone, it was pretty decent!
(And if you want to read more about mobile photography – check out this post I made a while back:

Thanks for reading, and I hope you’ll have a great weekend!
