Melodic Pokémon (Music Finds #36)

“Music Finds” is a series with new posts here on the blog each Wednesday. The concept is as follows:
As I listen to a lot of music, I from time to time finds a piece that sticks out, sometimes because it’s quirky, mixed two very unlikely genres, unlikely instruments, or just damn right having an awesome sound. Expect any kind of genre to appear here. These songs is what I will be sharing with you in these posts called “Music Finds”
But really it’s mostly a segment about some of my most played songs!”

Day two of my “post everyday throughout November“-grand scheme! As today is Wednesday, it’s time for Music Finds!
First song is one I found yesterday: MINDJACK by Inlayer. I find a lot of my new music on Spotify (where you also can listen to my releases for free – and support me while doing so!) and its playlist Discover Weekly, which is also where I found this track.

“Cool, a melodic progressive metal track! It’s probably by some obscure band”

Judge by my (positive) surprise when I find the official music video – on the absolutely not-at-all-obscure SM Town’s channel!

Second one is a song released as promotion for the upcoming new Pokemon games (Sun & Moon) for 3DS. Ever since Nintendo released the character Mimikyu a while back, and its both heartwarming and heartbreaking backstory, I’ve been a fan of this little creature. Then came this song, and it’s just adorable.
Don’t tell me that Mimikyu doesn’t pull on your heartstring?
