Goodbye, Love Letter – BUCK TICK (Music Finds #43)

“Music Finds” is a series with new posts here on the blog each Wednesday. The concept is as follows:
As I listen to a lot of music, I from time to time finds a piece that sticks out, sometimes because it’s quirky, mixed two very unlikely genres, unlikely instruments, or just damn right having an awesome sound. Expect any kind of genre to appear here. These songs is what I will be sharing with you in these posts called “Music Finds”
But really it’s mostly a segment about some of my most played songs!”

This weeks “Finds” is more of a re-discovery. Last weekend I hung out with my bandmates in Avalinity, and at one part during the evening we watched PV’s by the band BUCK-TICK. Which brings me to this classic – “Love Letter“.

One of my own favorite tracks of all time by BUCK-TICK; “Kiss me Goodbye

    “Goodbye, Love letter”

  • Sweetheart,

aww, Buck-Tick! A sneaky weapon indeed if you want me to dance. I can’t sit still to them. Oh, stop it. This became a fun mash together with your super beautiful song Longing, because if you’d call my mobile it would indeed play Love Letter. Clearly I want to mount a simple madness man. Oh, if you please, please…
Do people turn when that starts playing? Yes. Do I care? No, I just get that grin that says: “wouldn’t you like to know, but I ain’t telling ya”. It’s a classic and very useful.

And he does that clever heading again. Really dear, you’re becoming right good at this and I like it, a lot.

If you’re going to write things like that you might as well kiss me goodbye because I am no more, I’ve transformed into we. Complete happiness, all else can disappear. As much as I like Buck-Tick the picture and sound of them has dimmed for the benefit of seeing you. Honestly you’re sexy. Shush, down below. There’s a kind of simplicity or cleanness in Buck-Tick’s expression that you and your band have as well. Pretty and stylish yes, utilizing what you have got without becoming too much.

I’ve already hinted about the beauty of your song Longing, yes, that was quite the gift. And the mix of black and red in the video made me associate to Buck-Tick as so many of theirs are dark and one colour, often red. Oh, I love that detail. That gave me ideas to work on, as so often happens when around you. I’ve got this overwhelming feeling that we inspire each other. That’s a true luxury.

Anyway, all these Wednesday songs have meant a lot to me. It’s brought joy, energy and romance to my life. I clearly needed someone to call for me like that. <3
You have a splendid elegance for finding the right spots too. Scary at times, but bloody brilliant!

So then remains only one question; when will we climax together?
